Michael G. Sauer is the head of operations and construction management at Milestone where he is responsible for managing all property operations and construction including execution of the firm’s value-add strategy. Over the past seven years, Mr. Sauer has managed operations of over 20,000 multifamily units and executed over $50 million of value-add construction projects. Prior to joining Milestone, he spent 12 years with BVT Equity Holdings in Atlanta, Georgia where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and structuring multifamily development opportunities. During his time at BVT, Mr. Sauer developed over 5,000 multifamily units. Prior to his tenure at BVT, he served as Vice President, Private Banking with HypoVereinsbank (HVB Group) in Germany where he was responsible for the syndication of US Real Estate investment funds.

Mr. Sauer graduated from Georgia State University with an M.S. in Real Estate and from Southern Polytechnic State University with an M.S. in Construction Management. He holds a LEED-AP accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council and a Specialty Construction certificate from Southern Polytechnic State University.
